Skoda has recently announced the official starting price of the new Octavia RS generation in the United Kingdom, which has been set at 22, 990 GBP, on the road.
The fastest Octavia ever, as it has been described, can easily stand out from a crowd, thanks to its aggressive front bumper, honeycomb mesh grille inserts, LED daytime running lights, dual exhaust system, bi-xenon headlights and 18-inch alloy wheels, amongst others. The Skoda Octavia RS’ interior design hasn’t been left unchanged either and this is now getting sports seats, a three-spoke steering wheel, touch screen infotainment, dual-zone climate control and ambient lighting.
Power to the new generation of the Skoda Octavia RS is being provided by either a 2.0 liter TSI, sourced from the new VW Golf GTI, which is producing a total output of 220 HP (162 kW), allowing the model to sprint from 0 to 100 km/h in 6.8 seconds before reaching a top speed of 248 km/h (154 mph), or by a 2.0 liter TDI, “borrowed” from the new Golf GTD, generating 184 HP (135 kW) and allowing the model to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 8.1 seconds, before reaching a top speed of 232 km/h (144 mph). Sales of the model will begin in August, but the new Octavia RS is already available for order.
