UK: Volkswagen Touareg R-Line introduced

Volkswagen has recently announced the arrival of the Touareg R-Line to the United Kingdom, where the package is adding some interesting goodies to the popular SUV.

After it was officially presented to the public during the 2013 North American International Auto Show (NAIAS) in Detroit, the Volkswagen Touareg R-Line is being placed into the spotlights once again, this time with the German based automaker announcing its arrival in the United Kingdom. The Volkswagen Touareg R-Line is based on the Altitude trim level and it’s adding the typical styling cues worth just over 4,000 GBP and 20-inch alloy wheels, wrapped in 275/35 tires.

The cabin of the model has received a full-length panoramic electric sliding glass sunroof, an electrically powered tailgate, a keyless entry and start system, R-Line sill plates, 8-inch color touch screen display for the audio system, sat-nav, leather upholstery, DAB, Bluetooth and more. Power to the model is being provided by a 3.0 liter V6 diesel engine, which is producing a total output of 204 HP (150 kW) or 245 HP (180 kW), mated to an eight-speed automatic transmission. The VW Touareg R-Line is priced from 44,025 GBP for the less powerful version in the UK.
