A unique BMW M6 Convertible has been officially unveiled by the car manufacturer for the 2015 MotoGP best qualifier.

“The BMW M Award is one of the highlights of every MotoGP season – every rider wants to be the one to receive this outstanding prize at the end of the yea. The unveiling of the winner’s car here in Jerez has become an important tradition for us. The entire MotoGP family is very excited about it, and BMW M Division has surprised us again this year with a truly breath-taking car. I am certain that this stunning BMW M6 Convertible will be a coveted prize among the riders”, said the managing director of commercial department at Dorna Sports, Pau Serracanta.

The car manufacturer didn’t have much to say about this particular BMW M6 Convertible but the model in question is coming with the Frozen Blue Metallic exterior finish, along with the White Merino leather upholstery in the cabin, the Individual Ash Grain White wood trim and the 20-inch alloy wheels. Power to the car is being provided by the familiar 4.4 liter TwinTurbo V8 engine, which is capable of producing a total output of 560 HP (412 kW) and it has a peak torque of 680 Nm (501 lb-ft) of torque. The engine is connected to the double clutch transmission which is allowing the model to reach 100 km/h (62 mph) from a standstill in just 4.3 seconds and to go up to an electronically limited top speed of 250 km/h (155 mph).
