A long name for an impressive ride which will be making its public debut at Coventry MotoFest.
The model pictured above is the Jaguar F-Type R AWD Bloodhound SSC Rapid Response Vehicle. This has been officially unveiled by the British based automaker and it will be making its public appearance at the Coventry MotoFest, on the 29th of May. The vehicle has been designed by Jaguar Land Rover’s Special Vehicle Operations and it is coming with some interesting features, including the Bloodhound SSC colors or the bespoke livery, amongst others.
“This year’s MotoFest promises to be bigger than ever with a range of attractions and gigs. The organisers close off the Coventry ring road to public traffic in order to host a number of motorsport activities and the Bloodhound F-TYPE will be taking part in laps on Saturday May 30 and Sunday May 31. Jaguar will also be previewing its activities at the 2015 Goodwood Festival of Speed – the theme of which this year is ‘Flat Out and Fearless: Racing on the Edge’ – by bringing along some of the most iconic cars from its rich heritage”, says the carmaker in its press release.
The F-Type R AWD road-going vehicle has had a critical role in the development of the so-called Bloodhound SSC, a rocket-power car, which will attempt to break the world land speed record. Besides this, Jaguar will also showcase the 1953 C-Type, the 1956 D-Type Long Nose and the 1966 XJ13 during the same 2015 Coventry MotoFest. More details on the model pictured above will probably be announced during the event.
