Bentley is planning to develop an updated version of the EXP 9 F Concept which might make its debut later on this year.
The luxury automaker isn’t saying anything official on this subject for the moment but that doesn’t mean that the company isn’t working on an updated version of the SUV concept and, according to the guys at the insideline.com, Bentley will reveal more details about the crossover later on this year. Our source is also saying that the EXP 9 F Concept might receive a few “tweaks” but this will remain a showcar for the moment and it’s not a final production version. Additional details on the upcoming version of the Bentley EXP 9 F Concept are limited for the moment.
The Bentley EXP 9 F SUV concept has been officially presented to the public last month, at the 2012 Geneva Motor Show, and the model’s design has been inspired by the Blower Bentleys from the late 1920s. The Bentley SUV is actually a fusion of crafted luxury and advanced in-car technology, which is expected to come, in its final production version, with a 6.0 liter W12 engine, which will put down a total output of 600 horsepower and 800 Nm of torque (590 lb-ft). Besides the massive unit, a smaller 4.0 liter V8 is also in the books, but the most important powertrain to be adopted by the luxurious crossover is the V6 plug-in hybrid, which will allow the model to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in under 5 seconds.
