BMW has recently pulled the wraps off an updated version of the Z4, which will go on sale across Europe and the United States over the following months.
According to the car manufacturer, the updated BMW Z4 is now adding three new colors, named the Valencia Orange, the Glacier Silver and the Mineral Gray, and for the model’s future customers in the United States, there is a Hyper Orange Package available, which is adding the color with the same name, along with orange accents in the cabin including the Alcantara door inserts, the contrast stitching and more. The updated Z4 is also getting restyled headlights, fender vents and a modified rear end, along with other minor tweaks.
The 2013 BMW Z4 may come with aesthetic changes for customers in the United States, but Europeans will now get a new entry-level model, which will be named the Z4 sDrive18i. The model will use the same 2.0 liter twin-turbo I4 engine as the Z4 sDrive28i, but it’s detuned in order to produce a total output of 156 HP from the 240 HP. The unit will be mated to an eight-speed automatic transmission, allowing it to sprint from 0 to 62 mph in 7.9 seconds, before reaching a top speed of 137 mph. In the UK, the updated Z4 will go on sale in April.
