Mitsubishi has announced the official starting price for the 2016 Outlander in the United States, where the model will become available soon.
If you were hoping for a new generation of the popular Japanese midsize SUV you will be disappointed because the 2016 model year has only received a few minor changes compared to the previous version. These include the new LED lights, the alloy wheels 18-inch in size, the LED taillights, the slightly updated interior design with the improved second-row seating, the accent trim, the redesigned steering wheel, the seating surfaces and headliner and several other goodies.
“The 2016 Outlander has a dynamic new design and a long list of engineering upgrades—it literally looks, drives and feels like an entirely new vehicle. Despite all of the improvements to the vehicle, we made the starting MSRP lower than the previous model year to make it an even more compelling value than before and to attract new buyers to the brand”, said Don Swearingen, the MMNA executive vice president.
The 2016 Mitsubishi Outlander has a starting price of 22,995 USD and this basically means a 200 USD reduction compared to the previous model year. In case the carmaker has convinced you of placing a deposit, you should know that the engine options include the 2.4 liter four-cylinder with its 166 HP and 162 lb-ft of torque, along with the larger 3.0 liter V6 unit, producing 224 HP and 215 lb-ft of torque. The model will become available for order soon.
