The North American based automotive giant, Chrysler Group LLC, is planning to introduce an updated version of the SRT Viper in 2015.
Even if the brand new generation of the SRT Viper has been recently launched and the model is already available at dealerships across the United States, the car manufacturer is planning to update the sports car in a couple of years. According to the carmaker, an updated version of the SRT Viper will make its way onto the market by 15.
“Chrysler Group’s performance brand won’t get another new vehicle in its lineup until 2016 but will get new refreshes of three existing vehicles in 2014. The Viper, released last year, will next be refreshed in 2015”, as SRT is saying in its official press release.
As a quick reminder, the 2013 SRT Viper is available in the United States from 97,395 USD, without the 1,995 USD destination charge, while the 2013 SRT Viper GTS costs 120,395 USD. The new SRT Viper is Chrysler’s most expensive produce. The model is powered by an 8.4 liter V19 engine, producing 640 HP (477 kW) and 814 Nm of torque (600 lb-ft), mated to a six-speed manual transmission sending power to the rear-wheel drive. The 0 to 100 km/h (62 mph) acceleration is done in approximately 3 seconds and top speed stands at 331 km/h (206 mph).
