Toyota has released a huge photo gallery with the heavily updated Avensis model.
After officially pulling the wraps off the 2016 Avensis during the 2015 Geneva Motor Show, the model in question is being placed into the spotlights once again, this time with the help of a large photo gallery which has been released by Toyota recently. The 2016 Toyota Avensis is now getting the slightly updated front and rear bumpers, the body accents with chrome finishes, the LED headlights and taillights, a 40 mm increased length, an updated steering wheel in the cabin, satin chrome accents, 4.2-inch color display for the instrument cluster and several other goodies.
The 1.6 liter D-4D engine has been added in favor of the old 2.0 liter D-4D and this is capable of putting down a total of 110 HP (82 kW) and 270 Nm (199 lb-ft) of torque, allowing the Avensis to reach 100 km/h in 11.4 seconds and up to a top speed of 180 km/h. The engine is meeting the Euro 6 emission standards and it is also 20 kg lighter than its “predecessor”. The average fuel consumption stands at 4.1L / 100 km and the CO2 emissions stand at 108 g/km. There is also a new 2.0 liter D-4D, different from the old one, rated at 141 HP (105 kW) and 320 Nm (236 lb-ft) of torque, allowing the car to reach 100 km/h in 9.5 seconds and a top speed of 200 km/h. This is returning 4.5L / 100km and emitting 119 g/km of CO2. Other units available are the 1.6L with 130 HP, the 1.8L with 145 HP and the 2.0L with 150 HP.
