Updated Toyota FCV-R to cost less than USD100,000 image

The Japanese based automaker Toyota is planning to launch the production version of the 2015 FCV-R soon.

Toyota has already announced its plans of bringing an updated version of the FCV-R Concept later on this year, during the 2013 Tokyo Motor Show. The company has big plans for the model and rumors are saying that it will eventually make its way onto the production line. According to the guys at Auto News, the updated Toyota FCV-R will be launched sometimes in 2015 and the model will set you back of less than 100,000 USD.

The Toyota FCV-R, in its final production version, will be a fuel cell vehicle, which will be sold, initially, in states covered by the California Air Resources Board mandate. The Toyota FCV-R, in its final production version, is expected to make its way onto the market probably in 2015, or even in 2016, so if you were looking into placing a deposit, you have some waiting to do. Additional details on the updated version of the Toyota FCV-R concept are limited for the moment and will be announced on the 22nd of November, when the 2013 Tokyo Motor Show will officially open its gates.
