Volkswagen has officially unveiled an updated version of the Taigun Concept, during the 2014 New Delhi Auto Expo, in India.
The Volkswagen Taigun Concept is being placed into the spotlights once again, after it was officially unveiled during the 2012 Sao Paulo Motor Show, this time with the carmaker bringing an updated version of the baby crossover to the 2014 New Delhi Auto Expo. The model in question is believed to be the pre-production version of the Taigun and, as you can see for yourselves, it has received a different rear end, an outside mounted spare wheel and some other tweaks.
The VW Taigun Concept stands at 3,859 mm in length (with the rear spare wheel installed), 1,728 mm in width and 1,570 mm in height (1,605 mm with the roof rails). The wheelbase stands at 2,470 mm, which is quite generous and because of this, the model can accommodate five people and it still has 280 liters worth of cargo in the trunk. With the rear seats folded, the capacity increases to 996 liters. The engine found under its hood is a 1.0 liter TSI with 110 HP (81 kW) and 175 Nm (129 lb-ft) of torque. The 0 to 100 km/h sprint takes 9.2 seconds and top speed stands at 186 km/h (115 mph).
