The Spanish based automaker Seat has recently announced its plans to offer an upgraded version of the 2013 Ibiza Trophy later on this month, during the 2013 Worthersee.
With the 2013 Worthersee event coming in pretty fast, most automakers couldn’t miss out on the “free” publicity and one of these companies is called Seat. According to the car manufacturer, Seat has announced its plans to introduce an upgraded version of the Ibiza Trophy, during the 2013 Worthersee, later on this month. The Seat Ibiza Trophy in question is actually based on the new generation of the Leon SC, which has been upgraded.
The 2013 Seat Leon Ibiza Trophy is powered by the same 1.4 liter turbocharged TSI engine, which is now producing a total output of 200 HP (147 kW), instead of the last year’s 180 HP (132 kW). The unit is now mated to a seven-speed DSG transmission, which can be operated from the steering wheel. The model is also getting the mechanical differential lock and it’s sitting on 18-inch racing wheels. The 2013 Seat Leon Ibiza Trophy has an upgraded braking system, a modified oil sump, a roll cage and a stripped out interior. Prices for the model will start at 31,500 EUR, VAT excluded.
