U.S. Auto Sales: Mercedes Benz sales up 55.2 percent in November
Mercedes Benz USA reported November sales of 28,255 vehicles – up 55.2 percent improvement over November 2010 (18,208) and the company’s highest November volume on record.
The maker of the S Class premium sedan said on a year-to-date basis has sold 236,415 vehicles, up 20.4 percent compared to the same period of 2010 (196,288 vehicles).
As expected, sales were driven by the C-Class and E-Class model lines. The automaker said its new C Class recorded an increase of 112.7% from November 2010. 8,358 C Classes were sold last month.
The E Class premium sedan also went well; the 9th generation E-Class followed with sales of 5,095 and the all-new versatile M-Class finished third in volume with monthly sales of 4,796.
In addition, the 2012 CLS Class posted a 215.8% increase for the month and sales of the new SLK roadster were up 87.3% over November 2010.
