US: BMW 3-Series starts at $35.795 image

After announcing the cost of the new 3-Series in Europe, the German based automaker BMW is taking a step forward into promoting its 2012 model year sedan on the over-seas auto market, where the model will be priced at 35.795 USD for the entry-level version.

According to BMW, the 328i will come nicely equipped with iPod / USB / Bluetooth connectivity and a 6.5 inch iDrive display, while being powered by the 2.0 liter four-cylinder engine which is developing a total output of 240 horsepower and has a peak torque of 260 lb-ft (352 Nm), mated to an eight-speed automatic transmission with start/stop technology, enabling the sedan to accelerate from 0 to 60 mph in just 5.7 seconds before hitting its limited top speed of 130 mph or 155 mph with the Sport Line Package.

On the other hand, the larger unit fitted onto the 335i model comes in the shape of a 3.0 liter inline six-cylinder engine which is developing a total output of 300 horsepower and has a peak torque of 300 lb-ft (406 Nm), which is allowing the BMW 3-Series to accelerate from 0 to 60 mph in 5.4 seconds and hit the same limited top speed of 130 mph, or 155 mph with the Sport Line Package.
