An interesting new marketing deal sees American Airlines and Cadillac teaming up in effort to push their products and services to deep pocket customers.
The companies have partnered to offer select customers of the airline several travel benefits and test-drives of the US luxury automaker’s models. Following the deal, AAdvantage’s invitation-only ConciergeKey members would be shuttled to their next flight by Cadillac cars. Besides that, any AAdvantage members, without discrimination, can earn bonus miles at the airline if they test-drive a Cadillac car.
“Traveling in style is a shared interest of premium customers the world over,” Uwe Ellinghaus, Cadillac chief marketing officer, said in the statement. “Partnering with American Airlines, the world’s largest airline, allows us to engage customers and deliver valuable benefits in meaningful ways.”
“This is just the beginning of the opportunities we see with our partnership with Cadillac, and we are thrilled to be able to offer these benefits to our customers,” added Suzanne Rubin, AAdvantage Loyalty Program president.
The program premiered last week in the Los Angeles airport, where ConciergeKey members are taken to their tight connecting flight in a Cadillac CTS, SRX or Escalade. Next month the program will expand to include the Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport and New York’s LaGuardia Airport and John F. Kennedy International Airport, all pending local approval.
