American truck buyers have another limited series model to talk about – the new Chevrolet Silverado Realtree Edition.
The new limited series has been tipped for arrival in US showrooms this spring and the 2016 Silverado Realtree Edition has been based off the regular Silverado 1500 LTZ Z71 crew cab. But in turn it features a bespoke exterior with Realtree camouflage graphics. We also noticed other highlights such as the black trim, remedy black bow tie badging, cure side steps, diagnosis as well as darkened-out 20-inch alloy wheels with all-terrain tires. Chevrolet has kept under wraps the cabin for now but detailed the cockpit a bit – the Realtree logo has been embroidered on the front headrests and drivers will also come across more camouflage graphics and additional Realtree emblems. Just like the standard iteration of the pickup truck, the 2016 Silverado Realtree Edition can be had with two engines under the hood: a 5.3- or 6.2-liter V8 iteration, good for 355 horsepower and 383 pound-feet of torque or 420 hp and 460 lb-ft of torque, respectively.
Aside from the V8 engine dish, the limited series also has fitted as standard equipment the Z71 off-road package. This one comes nicely equipped with underbody protection, two hooks, as well as an automatic locking rear differential, while being completed by the Rancho monotube shocks and a Hill Decent Control system. “This truck has the perfect combination of features, comfort and safety – whether you’re driving around town, on the highway or off road,” commented Realtree Designer and President Bill Jordan.
