A very lucky Ferrari fan is the owner of the first F60 America – which has been delivered by the Prancing Horse brand during the Palm Beach Cavallino Classic in Florida.
The F60 America boasts a classy Blu Nart exterior shade, with the limited edition being a honorary addition to the lineup designed to celebrate Ferrari’s 60th anniversary in the United States. The F60 America has been announced for the first time way back in 2014 and as such uses the underpinnings of the F12 Berlinetta with some cues taking the model all the way back to the 1967 275 GTS-4 NART. As such we have a special series of just ten units featured as a roofless F12 Berlinetta that cost $ 2.5 to 3.2 million a pop and have been sold out in an instance. Taking out the roof was not enough so Ferrari also developed two roll hoops wrapped around in leather and featuring carbon fiber-trimmed flying buttresses. The front and rear bumpers are also a bespoke design and the lightweight fabric roof can be opened or closed at up to 75 miles per hour. We also have an assortment of special 60th anniversary badging on the front fenders and a set of five-spoke alloy wheels.
The cabin is also unique – boasting a red & black theme with the American flag on the seats. Motivation is being provided by the 6262cc V12 naturally aspirated engine churning out 740 HP (544 kW) and 690 Nm (509 lb-ft) mated to a dual-clutch seven-speed gearbox that sends the power to the rear axle. That’s enough to reach 62 mph (100 km/h) in 3.1 seconds, the same time posted by the F12 Berlinetta.
