While the recently redesigned 2015 F-150 – the best-selling vehicle in America – has not even unleashed in showrooms, the model is already targeting the honors’ list.
Kelley Blue Book’s 2015 edition of the Best Buy Awards are here to award the top new model-year vehicle choices currently available in the country – and the model will get its category win during an event on the sidelines of the Los Angeles Auto Show that opens it Press Days later on today.
“Our group of expert vehicle testers chose the Ford F-150 as the Overall Winner in our Best Buy Awards because of its breakthrough aluminum body structure, its smooth and fuel-efficient powertrains and its impressive collection of thoughtful features,” said Jack R. Nerad, market analyst for Kelley Blue Book.
Of course, the 2015 F-150 also snatched the truck category win and notably it was the only Ford model honored on the list. Notable category winners include Honda (5 categories, one of them for Acura) and General Motors’ mass-market brand Chevrolet. The only European car on the list was the newly unleashed Mercedes-Benz C-Class – who took the win in the luxury car segment. The only other brand that won a category was Toyota – for its Highlander model – in the mid-size SUV/crossover section.
