Audi is gearing up for the year-end sales bonanza by releasing into the wild a couple of special edition models for the A3 and A4 lineup to complement the maker’s range in the United States.
The A3 Special Edition comes with the S Line styling package fitted as standard and adds on top the black optic package coming with high gloss black accents for the grille and front air intakes. The owners will also get a sport suspension and 18- or 19-inch five-spoke alloys to choose from. Additional standard features and equipment includes heated front seats or the advanced key. No pricing details have been announced but the regular A3 starts from $30, 900 and can be had with either a 1.8- or 2.0-liter TFSI petrol mill. The automakers in the US are usually gearing up for the year-end sales bonanza by delivering new models and incentives or special editions. The Audi season lasts through January 8th and any delivery (even for certified pre-owned vehicles) will also come with a pair of Traveler by Toms sunglasses purposely designed for Audi.
Moving on to the bigger A4 midsize sedan, the Special Edition also adds the S Line exterior and black optic packages. Additional equipment is even richer here, with amenities such as the MMI navigation plus infotainment system with Audi connect, power sunroof, leather seats, xenon headlights and the advanced key, as well as heated front seats, a rearview camera and parking sensors. No word on pricing here as well, but the regular A4 can be had from $35,900 and comes equipped with a 2.0-liter TFSI engine churning out 220 bhp and 258 lb-ft of torque.
