McLaren Automotive has recently announced the official starting price of the all-new 12C Spider in the United States, which has been set at $268,250.
After being officially revealed no more than a few days ago, the McLaren 12C Spider is once again entering our news, this time with the British based automaker announcing its starting price in the United States. According to the car company, the all-new McLaren 12C Spider can be bought over-seas starting at 268,250 USD, including a 2,500 USD destination charge, which is significantly more expensive compared to the coupe version, which is available in the U.S. from $231,000, but it’s still cheaper than the one sold in the UK (195,500 GBP / 304,000 USD).
The first units of the McLaren 12C Spider will arrive at the United States dealerships in December, after the supercar will get its public debut in California at the Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance. As a quick reminder, The McLaren MP4-12C Spider is getting the same 3.8 liter twin turbo V8 engine as its solid roof brother, which is developing a total output of 625 PS, sent to the rear-wheel drive through a seven-speed SSG dual-clutch transmission. The 0 to 100 km/h (62 mph) acceleration is done in 3.1 seconds (the same as the MP4-12C) and the 0 to 160 km/h (100 mph) acceleration is over in 6.1 seconds (6.0 for the MP4-12C).
