The Japanese automaker is offering on eBay to interested bidders the very first production car from the special series of the 2015 Lancer Evolution Final Edition, with the proceeds going towards the National MS Society.
With a plaque reading US0001, the company is sending off in style the Lancer Evolution – only 1,600 (numbered) Final Edition models being planned. In good will, the National MS Society through the local Pacific South Coast Chapter will receive all the funds gathered through the auction. But if you’re out looking for a good cause and also wanting to have in the garage the special series Lancer you should note the listing is currently restricted to pre-approved buyers – while the bids will also be placed against a live audience from the 2015 MS Dinner Auction in Coronado, California taking place on November 21.
If you ticked all the boxes you should also know the Lancer Evolution Final Edition, equipped with the turbocharged and intercooled 2.0-liter MIVEC DOHC 16-valve inline 4-cylinder has received a steadfast power increase to 303 PS and 305 lb-ft of maximum torque. Additional modifications include the presence of Bilstein shock absorbers and Eibach springs while at the front sit tightly new Brembo two-piece rotors.
Exterior design changes include the Final Edition badge, a black aluminum roof, gloss black center bumper and hood air outlet, dark chrome Enkei alloys and automatic bi-xenon High Intensity Discharge (HID) headlights – with the body painted in Rally Red. Cabin enhancements include a gloss black center console box with the production serial number plaque as well as red stitching on the sports seats, steering wheel, shift knob, console lid, floormats, and e-brake handle.
