Cadillac has recently stated the 2017 XT5 – the model succeeding the highly popular SRX crossover – will have a pricing of $38, 995 when it reaches US dealerships this April.
Since it comes off the hallmark success of the previous generation the 2017 XT5 is labeled as a crucial model for the brand, with the crossover adopting a modern and stylish exterior design that features a massive grille guarded by a set of bespoke-shaped headlights. It also boasts a rakish windscreen, sloping roofline and comes packing 18 to 20 inch alloy wheels. The 2017 XT5 also brings an upscale atmosphere inside the cabin as the owners will have vastly improved and higher-quality materials and a modern design. There are no detailed specifications yet but the marquee has previously announced the XT5 can be had with leather seats and a choice of aluminum, carbon fiber, or wood fiber trim. The latest iteration of the brand’s CUE infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto functionality is also available.
Under the hood sits a 3.6-liter V6 engine delivering an output of 310 horsepower and 270 lb-ft pound-feet of torque, linked to a new eight-speed automatic transmission that can send power through the optional all-wheel drive system if the owner selects the Luxury or Premium versions. Pricing goes up to $62,500 for the flagship XT5 Platinum which counts on AWD as standard equipment.
