The British based automaker Vauxhall, along with its German brother, Opel, is planning to develop a VXR (OPC) and a Cabrio version of the Adam.
The newest model in Opel’s lineup and the smallest ever, the Adam, is being placed into the spotlights once again, this time with a rumor which is saying that the model will probably receive an OPC (VXR) version, along with a drop-top. The car manufacturer is aiming models like the Fiat 500 Abarth or the new Fiat 500C and rumors are saying that the VXR (OPC) will probably share the same 202 BHP 1.6 liter turbocharged engine found in the Corsa VXR (OPC).
The Opel Adam OPC / Vauxhall Adam VXR should be able to sprint from 0 to 62 mph in less than 6.5 seconds. Besides the hot version of the model, Vauxhall / Opel is also planning to develop a Cabrio version of the model which should get a pop-out removable roof panel, unlike the ones used in models like the Fiat 500C or the Citroen DS3 Cabrio. Additional details on the Adam VXR / OPC and Adam Cabrio are limited for the moment and will probably be announced over the following months.
