Vauxhall has officially pulled the wraps off the fastest ever version of the Astra, named the VXR Extreme, which will be heading over to the 2014 Geneva Motor Show in order to make its public debut.
The fastest ever version of the Vauxhall Astra is named the Astra VXR Extreme and the British based automaker has released the first image with the model which will be officially presented to the public in March, during the 2014 Geneva Motor Show. The model in question has received a new and more aggressive body kit, which is adding several items to its exterior, including the large rear wing, the new side skirts and diffuser, the quad exhaust system or the new wheels.
The body side graphics also contribute to its aggressive design and you can almost hear it yell “look at me, I’m an Astra on steroids”. The model in question is based on the Astra Cup and it’s basically a concept car with a lot of carbon fiber “goodies” on it and racing seats, six-point safety belts and more. A 2.0 liter petrol engine under its hood, which is now producing a total output of 325 HP, 49 HP more than the current version of the hot hatch. Power will be sent to the wheels through a six-speed manual transmission.
