Vauxhall has recently released some new details on the 2014 VXR8 GTS, ahead of its public debut scheduled for the Autosport International.
The brand new 2014 VXR8 GTS will be officially presented to the public at the Autosport International. The model in question is based on the HSV GEN-F GTS and some are considering it a competitor for much more popular models, like the BMW M5, the Audi RS6 or the Mercedes-Benz E63 AMG. The VXR8 GTS is getting features like the new Brake TOurque Vectoring system or the upgraded Magnetic Ride Control system, amongst others.
The 2014 Vauxhall VXR8 GTS is being powered by a 6.2 liter supercharged LSA V8 engine, which is producing a total output of 576 HP (492 kW) and it has a peak torque of 738 Nm (545 lb-ft). This actually means a 150 HP (112 kW) and 189 Nm (140 lb-ft) increase compared to the previous VXR8, which is transformed into 4.2 seconds needed for the 0 to 96 km/h (60 mph) sprint and a 250 km/h (155 mph) limited top speed. Prices for the 2014 Vauxhall VXR8 GTS will be set at 54,999 GBP and the first deliveries of the car will begin in 2014.
