Vauxhall Vivaro and Movano Race Van concepts are for… hauling image

The British brand – which has just changed ownership from GM to PSA alongside German parent Opel – has recently revealed their first van concepts in a very long time… more than a decade.

Seeing these you might look at them as a “show and no go” feature, but it’s actually a different story with them. Even though both feature no power upgrades, their purpose was never to break any lap times. Vauxhall hasn’t modified them to try to set up a Nurburgring record for the fastest van (we see how the German track is very fashionable these days), because the brand actually reworked them to honor the partnership between the company and the 2017 MCE British Superbike Championship (BSB). Both workhorses have been updated to be able to carry a motorcycle and everything the team might need during those long weekend hours at the track.

The Vivaro Race Van Concept has been based on the… “Vivaro Limited Edition NAV L2H1 F2900 145PS BiTurbo S/S” version. It carries a bespoke racking solution, which can actually be removed when not in use. On the Movano L2H2 panel-based concept it will stay there at all times. There’s also a built-in sided awning that creates a much needed shielded workspace even if it’s raining. Both also have lots of other amenities – from TV, refrigerator, microwave, to a wash basin.
