Vauxhall has announced that all of its new cars will come with a lifetime warranty.
The Vauxhall Lifetime Warranty covers the cost of replacement parts for the first 100,000 miles, but there is no time limit.
Vauxhall expects that this will equate to a lifetime’s worth of cover for 90 per cent of its customers.
Owners will need to visit a Vauxhall dealer annually for a free inspection, although the car as long as the car is serviced in accordance with Vauxhall’s guidelines, using approved parts, there’s no requirement to have it serviced by a Vauxhall dealer.
Vauxhall Motors managing director Duncan Aldred said: ‘With the lifetime warranty, we are making a strong statement of confidence in the quality of our products and a clear intent to provide the very best customer service in the UK.’
Also, Vauxhall is working on a plan for second owners to be able to purchase the warranty.
