Venturi to Create the Fastest EV in the World, the Venturi VBB-3 image

Venturi Automobiles announced it is working on a missile-shaped EV which might reach more than 400 mph thanks to its 3000 horsepower.

Venturi Automobile dubbed its outrageous EV the Venturi VBB-3 and said this would be the fastest electric vehicle in the world. To create this amazing car Venturi is joining hands with the Ohio State University Center for Automotive Research, as the Buckeye Bullet Team plans to surpass the record they’ve already set twice before.

In 2009 and 2010 the team has set world records of 302 mph and 307 mph at Utah’s Bonneville Salt Flats. This time, they will try to push the record to more than 430 mph, twice the top speed reached by a Lamborghini Aventador LP700-4 supercar. Even the Bugatti Veyron, which is the world’s fastest production car, reaches a top speed with 200 mph less than what the Venturi VBB-3 is said to reach. We will see if the team will manage to reach this target next year, when the car is supposed to be ready.

Venture is well-known for its ‘supersonic’ electric vehicles, as its high performance Fetish roadster managed to make quite an impression when it debuted more than 10 years ago. An amazing car with an amazing price tag of $400,000.
