Mercedes-Benz has recently revealed the commercial video for its 2012 C63 AMG Black Series, and while its competition is doing just about anything to attract new customers, AMG is showing once again its superiority.
AMG is no longer the official tuner of Mercedes-Benz vehicles and that position has been taken over by Brabus and the involvement of AMG within developing new and powerful Mercedes models is reaching new levels by the day. The 2012 Mercedes-Benz C63 AMG Black Series is one of the best examples yet of AMG getting involved in developing powerful models for the German based automaker and even if its performance is just too much for the average Mercedes buyer, petrol heads won’t think twice if they’ll have the opportunity of getting their hands on one. The 2012 Mercedes-Benz C63 AMG Black Series is powered by the “classic” 6.3 liter naturally aspirated V8 engine which is generating a total output of 517 horsepower at 6.800 rpm and has a peak torque of 457 lb-ft available at 5.000 rpm.
The large unit is mated to the seven-speed AMG Speedshift MCT sport automatic transmission which means that gear changing in Sport+ and Manual modes takes just one tenth of a second. If you’re afraid that stopping this mighty beast might be the last action you’ll ever do then you should know that giant 390mm front discs with six-piston calipers and 360mm discs at the rear with four-piston calipers will help you on the way.
This is actually the first Black Series model which is able to carry more than two people thanks to the designers who have decided to install a pair of seats in the rear too, so now this seems like the perfect holiday car. As long as you don’t decide to go on holiday in Venice. You can watch the 2012 Mercedes-Benz C63 AMG Black Series commercial below. Enjoy!
