After teasing its 2012 model year of the B-Class for quite some time and with details leaking about it along the way, the German based automaker Mercedes-Benz has finally launched its model and what better way to promote it, with its safety features, than by releasing a new promotional video where the B-Class plays the main role.
The new generation of the B-Class is highlighted into the commercial video by its Collision Prevention Assist System, by the adaptive Brake Assist with its radar-based collision warning system, which comes in standard and lowers the risk of rear-end collisions, as a first in the segment, and the Pre-Safe preventive occupant protection system.
Mercedes-Benz chose an unique way to promote all of these safety features which can be found on the new generation of the B-Class but we won’t tell you the exact way and what happens in the video.
As a reminder, the Mercedes-Benz B-Class comes with two petrol engines, found on the B 180 and the B 200, where the first one is developing a total output of 122 horsepower and has a peak torque of 200 Nm, while the larger one is generating 150 HP and 250 Nm of torque.
As for the diesel options, the B Class is packing two CDI units, the B 180 CDI, with its 109 HP and 250 Nm of torque and the B 200 CDI which is developing 136 horsepower and 300 Nm of torque.
