The German based automaker Mercedes-Benz has decided to place its 2012 model year of the SLK in the spotlights again by releasing a new commercial video where the two-seater sports car is in the center of attention.
Mercedes-Benz is trying to send us a clear message about the new generation of the SLK, first of all being a vehicle destined for both men and women, which is pretty fast, fun to drive, it handles well, it’s a good car to find your soul mate and once you did it, you don’t need anything else.
But let’s be honest, who knows a woman that can drive like that and even if she is an ace in driving, she probably looks like Jeremy Clarkson in the morning or in the best case scenario she would be a copy of Sabine Schmitz.
But enough is enough and let’s talk about one of the most interesting versions of the 2012 SLK, the 250 CDI, which is powered by a 2.2 liter, four-cylinder engine, generating 204 HP and 500 Nm of torque, mated to a standard 7G-Tronic Plus automatic transmission.
Mercedes says that the SLK 250 CDI can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 6.7 seconds, with a top speed of 243 km/h, while burning just 4.9 liters every 100 km and emitting 128 g ok CO2 per km. So the new SLK is definitely more economical than your wife.
