The German based automaker Audi has recently placed the new generation of the A3 model into the spotlights by releasing a video where the model’s accessories are being highlighted.
The 2013 Audi A3 made its world debut at the Geneva Motor Show this year in March and the model is once again attracting our attention, this time with the car manufacturer releasing a new promotional video. Audi says that the new A3 generation is the first vehicle to use the new MQB platform, the same one which will underpin future models like the next VW Golf. The Audi A3 will be available in the three-door version at first and the model is 80 kg (176 lbf) lighter than the version it’s replacing, being 4,237 mm long, 1,777 mm wide and 1,421 mm tall, with a wheelbase of 2,601 mm (+23 mm).
Under the hood, the 2013 Audi A3 will be available with only three engines at the time of its launch, the 1.4 liter TFSI entry-level, which will generate 121 horsepower 200 Nm (148 lb-ft) of torque, the 1.8 liter TFSI, which is developing a total output of 177 horsepower and 250 Nm (184 lb-ft) of torque and a 2.0 liter TDI diesel unit, coming with 148 horsepower and 320 Nm of torque (236 lb-ft) and offering a fuel economy figure of 3.8 l/100 km (61.90 mpg US). The 2013 Audi A3 will have a starting price of 21,600 euros when it will hit the German dealerships in spring.
