The British automotive journalists at Autocar have recently gotten behind the wheel in the new 2013 Audi RS4 Avant.
The 2013 Audi RS4 Avant is one impressive ride to own and while Americans probably wish that the German based automaker would bring this model over-seas, we just want to see it in a “normal” sedan body style because, let’s be honest, the best Audi to come as an Avant is the RS6. But that is that and let’s move on to more important things, which is the powerful 2013 Audi RS4 Avant, which was recently tested by the guys at Autocar. What came up can be seen in the video posted below this article.
Power to the new generation of the Audi RS4 Avant is being provided by the company’s hand built 4.2 liter V8 engine, which is developing a total output of 444 horsepower and it has a peak torque of 430 Nm (318 lb-ft). Audi says that the new RS4 Avant can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in just 4.7 seconds, before reaching an electronically limited top speed of 250 km/h (155 mph). The speed limiter can be removed and the top speed increases to 280 km/ (174 mph). The unit is being mated to a seven-speed S tronic transmission, which is sending power to the Quattro all-wheel drive system.
