The North American based automaker Cadillac has released some driving footage of its new XTS generation, after the model has been officially presented during the 2011 Los Angeles Auto Show.
The 2013 Cadillac XTS is expected to dominate its segment in the over-seas sales in order to attract more customers into the model, the manufacturer has recently released some driving footage video of the car. The new XTS measures 202 inches (513 cm), with a wheelbase of 111 inches (282 cm), offering better leg room than some of its German rivals, like the Audi A6 or the BMW 5-Series.
According to the automaker, the 2013 Cadillac XTS will only be available with one engine option, the 3.6 liter V6 unit which is developing a total output of 300 horsepower, with a peak torque of 264 lb-ft. Customers of the 2013 XTS will be able to choose from front-wheel or all-wheel drive configurations, with the model having an average fuel consumption of 17/18 mpg city/highway for the FWD version, while the AWD model will do 17/27.
Cadillac says that the 2013 XTS will be offered as standard with front-wheel drive, along with the six-speed automatic transmission, the GM Magnetic Ride Control Adaptive Suspension and Brembo braking system. The 2013 XTS will also pack the CUE infotainment system which is the first fully capacity touch-screen in the auto industry to incorporate proximity sensing and the first one to adopt the multi-touch gestures like those used with tablets and smartphones.
