The German based automaker Mercedes-Benz is once again taking our attention after the 2013 BLS sedan has been caught on camera while being tested.
Mercedes-Benz was planning to develop a baby CLS model for quite some time and after many months when we thought that the idea had died, the German based car manufacturer is proving us the opposite. The Mercedes-Benz BLS is alive and well and the 2013 sedan version is currently being tested on public roads, probably getting ready to be officially presented during an international automotive event this year, before hitting the dealerships world wide.
The Mercedes-Benz BLS will be a direct competitor to the upcoming Audi A3 Sedan, but the other main rival, BMW, is also targeted, with the 1-Series sedan version which will be placed below the current 3-Series model. The 2013 Mercedes-Benz BLS will be kept simple and the model will be available only with front-wheel drive, but besides this, the engine range will come with the latest CGI and CDi units. Rumors say that the top of the line AMG version will be powered by a 2.0 liter turbocharged engine, which will be developing a total output of 260 horsepower.
Sadly we don’t have any more details on the upcoming 2013 Mercedes-Benz BLS, and until this model will be officially presented to the public you can watch the video below. Enjoy!
