The German based automaker Mercedes-Benz has recently released a promotional video with the new generation of the powerful SL63 AMG roadster.
After the car manufacturer has recently announced some details on the 2013 SL63 AMG, during the launch of the Mercedes AMG Petronas F1 W03 race car in Spain, Mercedes-Benz has decided to place the popular roadster into the spotlights one more time, by releasing a promotional video. As you can see from the video posted below, the new generation of the SL63 AMG looks more aggressive than the 2013 SL-Class, with larger air intake pockets into the front bumper, LED daytime running lights, new design on the grille and four trapezoidal exhaust tips.
Under the hood, the new generation of the Mercedes-Benz SL63 AMG is powered by the familiar M157 twin-turbocharged 5.5 liter V8 engine, which is generating a total output of 529 horsepower. The car company says that the new SL63 AMG is actually 110 kg (242 pounds) lighter than the version it’s replacing, thanks to the all-aluminum bodyshell and magnesium components, which are helping the 0 to 62 mph acceleration time (4.2 seconds with the AMG Performance Pack). The fuel consumption in the 2013 SL63 AMG is 30 percent lower, at 28.5 mpg and CO2 emissions stop at 231 g/km.
