The German based automaker Mercedes-Benz has recently released two new videos with the 2013 SL65 AMG hitting the road, ahead of the model’s debut at the 2012 New York Auto Show next month.
After the car manufacturer has officially revealed the new generation of the Mercedes-Benz SL65 AMG, the roadster is once again placed into the spotlights, probably one last time before it will debut at the New York Auto Show on the 4th of April, this time with the “help” of two official videos, which are showing the model hitting the road. The 2013 SL65 AMG will be the first model to wear the AMG face on its front fascia and it has been described as an intelligent lightweight construction which managed to knock off 170 kg off the kerb weight.
As a reminder, the all-new Mercedes-Benz SL65 AMG is powered by a 6.2 liter V12 biturbo engine, which is developing a total output of 621 horsepower and an electronically limited peak torque of 1,000 Nm (737 lb-ft), mated to the AMG Speedshift Plus 7G-Tronic transmission which is coming in four driving modes, “C” (Efficiency), “S” (Sport), “S+” (Sport Plus) and “M” (Manual). The roadster can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in just 4 seconds, before hitting a limited top speed of 250 km/h (155 mph). Prices of the 2015 SL65 AMG will start at 236,334 euros in Germany when the model will be launched in September.
