The Japanese based automaker Nissan has recently released a new teaser video with the 2013 Altima, ahead of the model’s official debut next month at the New York Auto Show.
While the first teaser video with the 2013 Nissan Altima was teasing the car from above, this one is actually showing us a chrome grille, a flowing hood, some angular headlights, part of the bumper, the windscreen, the A-pillar and a small part of the fender, but even so, this isn’t enough to give us a full picture on what the new Altima will look like.
“Nissan has released a second video clip and image offering a glimpse of the bold design of the all-new 2013 Altima sedan in advance of its world premiere at the New York Auto Show in April. The front view offers a hint of the all-new Altima’s forward-thinking innovations, which will bring outstanding fuel economy, premium design inside and out, and driver-focused technologies to a midsize sedan”, as the automaker is saying in its official press release.
The new generation of the Nissan Altima is expected to pack the same engine lineup, which might be upgraded in order to become more fuel efficient, but a new CVT transmission is also expected, which might make its way onto a hybrid version. Rumors say that the 2013 Nissan Altima Hybrid will come with a 2.5 liter four-cylinder petrol engine and an electric motor plus a lithium-ion battery pack, but details on this are currently limited.
The 2013 Nissan Altima has been described as “innovative”, and previous photos of the model have shown an evolutionary styling, with a redesigned body. The model will be assembled in Smyrna, Tenn And Canton and Miss, while the engines will be made at the company’s Decherd, Tenn. Plant. More details on the 2013 Nissan Altima will be announced at the New York Auto Show in April.
