[VIDEO] 2013 Peugeot 2008 prototype spied on the road
The prototype version of the 2013 Peugeot 2008 has been recently caught on camera while it was being tested on public roads.
After it was previewed by a concept car at the latest 2012 Paris Motor Show, the new Peugeot 2008 is entering our news once again, this time thanks to a video posted by worldcarfans.com, which is revealing the model with some camouflage on its body, while it is being tested. The Peugeot 2008 will be a crossover based on the 208 hatchback which will go on sale probably next year and it will compete with models like the Nissan Juke or the Opel Mokka.
The Peugeot 2008 is expected to get a 1.2 liter VTi engine under its hood, which will produce a total output of 82 HP (83 PS / 61 kW), alsong with a 1.4 VTi, generating 95 HP (96 PS / 71 kW), a 1.6 VTi with 120 HP (122 PS / 89 kW) and a 1.6 THP developing 156 HP (158 PS / 116 kW). Rumors are saying that the model will probably get a 1.4 HDi unit too, with 70 HP, and a 1.6 HDi with 92 HP. Additional details on the Peugeot 2008 are unknown for the moment.
