The brand new Audi A3 Cabrio has been recently spied while it was being driven for a short time in a facility near the famous Nurburgring track, in Germany.
After we have seen the brand new 2014 Audi A3 Sedan and 2014 Audi S3 Sedan just a few days ago, in a world premiere, during the 2013 New York Auto Show, their drop-top brother, the 2014 Audi A3 Cabrio, is now entering our news, with the help of a spy video, which is showing the model in a facility near the Nurburgring, after it was probably returning from a road test.
The Audi A3 Cabrio is based on the Audi A3 sedan and the model is riding on the same MQB modular transversal platform, which is also used on other models. The drop-top version of the Audi A3 Sedan will come with a choice of all-wheel drive, but front-wheel drive will be offered as standard. The Audi A3 Cabrio is expected to receive and S3 and even an RS3 version. Rumors are saying that the final production version of the Audi A3 Cabrio will probably be unveiled during the 2013 Frankfurt Motor Show, in September.
