If you are wondering what the engine of the new generation BMW M3 looks like, than you’re in the right place, because you won’t just be able to see it, but to hear it too.
The new generation of the BMW M3, the F80, is entering our news once again and after the model has been spied while being tested on the Nurburgring a few times until now, time has come for its engine to be fully revealed in a series of images. But don’t get your hopes too high because the German based automaker isn’t the one which is behind the photos and for that we must thank the guys at autoblog.com.
The 2014 BMW M3 F80 is getting a six-cylinder engine under its hood, with multiple turbochargers, which is expected to get a total output of approximately 450 HP. This is possible to be just a reworked version of the N55, which is now getting a strengthened aluminum block and modified cylinder heads. A Performance Package is expected to be offered on the new BMW M3 generation, which should bring the total output over 470 HP and enable it to achieve a top speed of 300 km.
