The 2014 Buick LaCrosse has been recently crash tested by the NHTSA and the four-door sedan has received an overall 5-star safety rating.
If you were looking into the 2014 Buick LaCrosse but you were concerned that this is not a safe car, forget your thoughts because the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration is saying the opposite. According to the feds, and their latest crash session, the 2014 Buick LaCrosse has received a 5-star safety rating, which basically means that this is one safe vehicle.
“Safety is one of the pillars of the Buick brand and our flagship continues to echo this essential element to our customers. Not only do we offer advanced safety technologies in the 2014 LaCrosse, but we designed and engineered the core of the car to perform well with respect to crash safety”, said the chief engineer of the Buick LaCrosse, Jeff Yanssens.
The 2014 Buick LaCrosse has been officially unveiled earlier this year. The model in question is coming with a front-engine and front-wheel / all-wheel drive. The engine lineup is made out of a 2.4L DOHC unit, which is good for 182 HP (136 kW) and 233 Nm (172 lb-ft) of torque, along with a 3.6L V6, with 304 HP (227 kW) and 358 Nm (264 lb-ft) of torque. Safety systems found on the car include the Rear Cross Traffic Alert, Rear Vision Camera, Side Blind Zone Alert, Lane Change Alert, Lane Departure Warning, Forward Collision Alert, Safety Alert Seat, Automatic Collision Preparation and 8 standard airbags.
