After it was officially announced for the 2013 New York Auto Show just a couple of weeks ago and then officially unveiled a day before writing this article, the 2014 Buick LaCrosse is being placed into the spotlights once again, this time with the carmaker releasing a video in which the model’s safety tech is being highlighted. The 2014 Buick LaCrosse is coming with the automatic Collision Preparation, Rear Cross Traffic Allert, Lane Departure Warning, Forward Collision Alert, Lane Change Alert, Side Blind Zone Alert and Safety Alert Seat, amongst others.
Power to the model is being provided by a 2.4 liter four-cylinder engine, which is good for 182 BHP (136 kW) and 233 Nm of torque (172 lb-ft), mated to an electric motor generating 15 BHP (11 kW) and 107 Nm of torque (79 lb-ft). The model can also be ordered with a 3.6 liter V6 engine, producing 304 HP (227 kW) and 358 Nm of torque (264 lb-ft). Both engines can be mated to a six-speed automatic transmission and the AWD system is available as an option.
