Dodge has selected fictional character Ron Burgundy for promoting the 2014 Durango in what can very well be one of the best commercials of the year.
Ron Burgundy has been selected by Dodge in order to promote the 2014 Durango and if this name isn’t telling you anything, you should know that he is a fictional character, played by Will Ferrell in the “Anchorman”, back in 2004. Dodge has released 4 clips with Ron Burgundy and it seems that Will Ferrel has recorded a total of 68 ads, but if you’re interested to see the first four, all you have to do is scroll down and click play.
“Will Ferrell reprises his comedic role as Ron Burgundy, the boastful news anchorman, in a robust campaign which debuts from Dodge on Saturday, October 5”, as the carmaker is saying in its official press release.
The 2014 Dodge Durango is actually a facelift of the model which is coming with a revised front fascia, a different rear bumper, different alloy wheels, an updated interior design with a different dashboard, digital instrument, cluster, steering wheel and center console and a Uconnect infotainment system with an 8.4-inch screen. The model can get the 360 HP (268 kW) 5.7L HEMI V8 under its hood, or the 3.6L V6 with its 290 HP (216 kW).
