Nissan has released some new official images and a video with the new generation of the Qashqai, which will be officially unveiled by the end of this year.
The Japanese based automaker Nissan is getting ready to officially pull the wraps off the new generation of the Qashqai and in order to place the model into the spotlights once again, the company has released new images and a video with the popular crossover. The footage posted below is showing some test mules of the new 2014 Nissan Qashqai while they are driven on public roads and covered in some heavy camouflage, so if you wanted to see design of the new model, you’re in for a disappointment.
The 2014 Nissan Qashqai has been developed and tested around the world and in various weather conditions but the fine-tuning has been conducted at the Nissan’s Technical Center Europe in the United Kingdom. The model in question will receive a new 1.2 liter turbocharged DiG-T gasoline engine, with its 113 HP (84 kW) and two diesels, a 1.5 dCi with 108 HP (80 kW) and a 1.6 dCi with 128 HP (95 kW). There will also be a plug-in hybrid or / and an EV version of the new Qashqai. The Qashqai+2 will be dropped as there is a new generation of the X-Trail out, available with 7 seats. Full details on the 2014 Nissan Qashqai will be announced on the 7th of November.
