The future generation of the Skoda Octavia has been spied on a public road once again while it was being tested.
The 2014 Skoda Octavia has been caught on camera once again while it was tested on a public road and the strategy adopted by the Czech based automaker was to modify its rear fascia instead of applying a heavy camouflage which would have attracted a lot of curious eyes. While the previous video with the new Skoda Octavia generation has been filmed in Belgium, this new one appears to be close to the automaker’s headquarters in the Czech Republic.
The new generation of the Skoda Octavia, which is wearing the 2014 model year in its name, is expected to hit the market sometimes next year and, judging by the months since it has been tested, the model might make its way onto the 2013 Geneva Motor Show. The new Octavia will ride on the same platform as the new Audi A3 and the new VW Golf 7, the MQB, and the engine lineup is expected to be shared with the new Golf generation. Hybrid and electric versions of the Skoda Octavia might be developed, along with the hot RS variant.
