Ford has released the first official videos with the brand new Edge, which has been recently unveiled just a few hours ago.
The second generation of the Ford Edge has been highlighted once again, after being officially unveiled, this time with the help of three new videos. The model in question is inspired by the Edge Concept and it is riding on the same architecture as the new Mondeo / Fusion, looking different than the model it’s replacing. Changes made to the cabin include the additional second row legroom and third row legroom, the extra headroom, the 8-inch LCD display with SYNC and MyFord Touch support, the Panoramic Vista Roof, one of the largest in industry at 47.7 inches and so on.
The 2015 Ford Edge is also getting a new MacPherson front suspension system, with an integral-link, independent rear suspension, adaptive electric steering, adaptive cruise control, active park assist, front and rear park sensors, curve control, cross traffic alert on the blind spot monitoring system and the active glovebox knee airbag from the new Mustang. Power will be coming from a 2.0L EcoBoost with 245 HP, from a 2.7L V6 EcoBoost with 300 HP and from a 3.5L naturally aspirated V6, with undisclosed output.
