[VIDEO] 2015 Ford Mustang GT prototype goes to Jay Leno’s Garage
One of the most famous petrol heads out there, Jay Leno, has recently gotten the chance to get up-close and personal with a prototype version of the 2015 Ford Mustang GT.
Jay Leno has managed to turn the attention towards its personal car show on YouTube, which is called Jay Leno’s Garage, thanks to the latest vehicle to star in it, which is a prototype version of the 2015 Ford Mustang GT. The model in question has been completely “dissected” by the show’s host, along with his guests, Lee Iacocca, the father of the muscle pony car, and Dave Perocak, the 2015 Mustang’s chief engineer.
The 2015 Ford Mustang has been officially unveiled just a few weeks and this is the first ever muscle car to get a four-cylinder 2.3 liter EcoBoost engine under its hood. The unit is producing a total output of 305 HP (227 kW) and it has a peak torque of 406 Nm (300 lb-ft). The EcoBoost is being offered as a mid-range option, while the entry-level version is getting a 3.7 liter V6, generating 300 HP (223 kW) and 365 Nm (270 lb-ft) of torque. There is also a 5.0L V8 unit available, with its 420 HP (313 kW) and 528 Nm (390 lb-ft) of torque.
A BMW representative has confirmed to inautonews.com that the newly unveiled X4 will be making its public debut next month, during the 2014 New York Auto Show.
