A prototype version of the future Ford Mustang generation has been recently spied while it was being tested on a public road, on the North American continent.
Ford has recently announced its plans to develop a new generation of the Mustang and it seems that testing the future muscle car has already began. The model in question is a prototype, wrapped in some heavy camouflage. The company has already confirmed the 2.3 liter EcoBoost four-cylinder engine, which will make its way under the hood of the next Ford Mustang generation, with its 350 HP (261 kW).
Besides the EcoBoost unit, the North American based automaker Ford will also use a 5.0 liter V8 on the more powerful GT version. This should produce a total output of 450 HP (335 kW). The SVT Cobra, with a 5.8 liter naturally aspirated V8, might make its way onto the market instead of the Shelby GT500. The 2015 Ford Mustang is rumored to be unveiled during the 2014 New York Auto Show. Additional details on the 2015 Ford Mustang are limited for the moment and will probably be announced close to its debut.
