The 2015 Smart ForTwo has been recently teased as the model is expected to make its public debut later on this year and also to become available for order.
The new generation of the Smart ForTwo is being placed into the spotlights once again, and after being spied numerous times with more or less camouflage on its body, the model in question is now getting ready to be officially unveiled. The video posted below actually represents the first teaser clip with the new model, which is appearing on a screen behind Dieter Zetsche, passing by very fast while honking.
The 2015 Smart ForTwo will be based on the ForVision Concept and it will also borrow a lot of styling cues from the one-off vehicle. The small car will have a revised greenhouse, a silver tridion safety cell and it will be lighter than ever, mostly thanks to the new developed architecture. The new Smart ForTwo generation will stand at approximately 2,69 meters (8.8 feet) long. As far as the engine lineup goes, three-cylinder petrol turbocharged units, ranging between 84 HP (63 kW) and 104 HP (77 kW) are expected on the model, along with the ElectricDrive version and its 87 HP (65 kW). More details on the model remain unknown for the moment.
